I think that I’ve gotten to a point where people no longer surprise me. Between the violent attacks that happen too often, the bullying, the finger-pointing, and the drama surrounding us, I am retreating for a little solitude. I think we all struggle with drama. Not many of us thrive in a drama-filled environment. What I have learned is we have to take care of ourselves and still take care of others
I step outside and try to catch my breath. The hustle and bustle of life are apparent with the onset of cars whizzing by my workplace. Customers are frequently in and out and make a point of complaining where they can.
We all need solitude. Even if it’s just for a few moments, we need to be able to catch our breath and unwind. There’s a lot to be said for maintaining balance in your life.
In a world filled with anger and hate, try to step away from the toxicity that may surround you. Take a few moments to breathe. Don’t let drama overtake your life. Solitude allows us time to let peace surrounding us without the noise of the world interfering.
This is one of the shortest blogs I’ve done. In part because I’m using solitude to decompress from various stresses in my life. Take care of yourself by stepping back when life gets hazy. Don’t worry about what everyone else does. Be willing to take a chance on opportunities in your life and take the time to absorb the good things life has to offer.
