We made it! Happy New Year! 2020 can kiss our grits. Suffice it to say that 2020 is a year everyone is not sorry to see go. How did you ring in the New Year? The pandemic made it challenging to celebrate in groups. It poured rain during the evening at my house, and in retrospect, was fitting for how 2020 impacted our lives.
New Year’s Day is a time for resolutions. There are three resolutions on which I am focusing. The first is to live healthier. Start exercising more, balance my diet better, and make myself a priority. It’s a great feeling to come through for people when they need you. If you aren’t coming through for yourself, it can become tiring. You are important. You influence more than you know. I’ve learned that every person on this earth needs to make themselves a priority. If we don’t, we set up unhealthy habits.
The second resolution is to stop allowing fear to take over my life. I have to be willing to open myself up to new chances, new opportunities, and new relationships. Living in a box only allows a person to see the contents inside, not the outside world. I’m choosing to step out of my box and comfort zone and see what the world has to offer.
My third resolution is to continue writing and perhaps write a book. I have many stories swirling inside my head that I would love to share with the world. All that has been holding me back is me. It’s time to change that logic.
I hope this New Year’s Day brings all of you joy, better opportunities, and an optimistic outlook. I hope this year brings you good health, great relationships, positive changes, and true happiness. Enjoy this day!

Happy New Year!โจ
