Rejuvenation

Holy Toledo! I just got done with an awesome workout. I haven’t done that in a long time. I think my legs and feet are going to be screaming at me for a while and it feels wonderful! I absolutely love it when I get a good workout in. I can be in the worst mood ever and by the time I finish, I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. In many ways, it allows me to become rejuvenated.

I have always enjoyed walking in one of the local parks. I have a really good friend who walks with me a lot and we talk and walk all at the same time. We both talk about people in our lives that we are dealing with who we both care for and how to handle things that are hard for us to come to terms with. It’s kind of wild. It’s amazing how things that have been draining us for a while can lead us to rejuvenate how we approach our lives. Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs but it also has its peaks, valleys, and plateaus.

It got me to thinking though. How many of us need a reminder of how to rejuvenate our minds when we are going through a rough patch? I can tell you that it’s imperative that you take time for yourself. I watch a lot of self-help videos. In almost every single one, I have found that they all tell you to take at least five to ten minutes every morning and evening for you. This can be challenging. Especially if you have kids, back to back schedules and very hectic life but it’s crucial to maintaining a sense of balance.

Another thing that a lot of people do is to hire a wellness or life coach. This is a great option if you can afford it. If you are trying to get your feet back on the ground at a difficult time in your life, you may find that you can’t afford one but even if you can’t, there’s a ton of videos on Youtube and other social media platforms that can help you along the way.

Decluttering your life is also essential to rejuvenation. When you get rid of things that are just sitting around, then you can begin to focus on other areas in your life. This helps you to re-organize your thoughts, your furniture, and your closets. You might find things you forgot you had and either start using them again or donate them. Chances are if you haven’t needed them up to this point, you probably don’t need it.

Be mindful of what you put in your body. We’ve all heard the sentiment that “you are what you eat”. Check the ingredients in your food. Pay attention to what you put in your mouth. If all you put in your body is junk, then your body is going to act like junk. If you put healthy food in your system, then your body will go for longer periods of time and your energy levels will reflect the healthier living.

These are just a few ways to rejuvenate yourselves but at the end of the day, most of us just want to have happier healthier lives. Take care of yourself. It really won’t do anyone any good if you are not able to take care of yourself. If you are always taking care of others, you need to be able to keep your mind, body, and spirit strong. Each of you is a leader. You lead your lives every day through storms and tunnels. Remember that you have the power to rejuvenate your lives and create the potential future that you want.
